Marine and Diadromous Fish Ecology
Fleming Lab

Behavioral and evolutionary ecology of fishes, with an emphasis on breeding system evolution, life history diversity, maternal effects, survival strategies and habitat, cultured and wild fish interactions, fisheries, and conservation. We have interest in marine and freshwater fishes, with a focus on salmonids and groundfish.

Students within the lab are encouraged to develop a broad perspective on behavior, ecology and evolution, and to engage in research with a solid empirical basis but with a view towards its wider theoretical and practical implications.
