I work with Dr. Jessica Miller and collaborators from NOAA researching how marine heat waves affect early life stages of Pacific Cod in the Gulf of Alaska. I am using information from otoliths to determine how environmental conditions affected Pacific Cod growth and survival during their first year of life.
I completed my PhD at Ohio State University, where my PhD focused on how early-life environments affect Lake Erie Walleye throughout individuals' lives. Using meta-analysis, laboratory experiments, analyses of long-term data, and simulation modeling, I examined how the environments an individual experiences during development can continue to affect that individual, their cohort, and their population as a whole.
