COMES faculty, students, postdocs, and staff all participate in a wide variety of outreach activities throughout each year. The Seafood Research and Education Center in Astoria hosts a variety of educational workshops and conferences for the seafood processing industry, and the COMES-Astoria faculty regularly consult with processors on critical issues. COMES-Newport participates in Hatfield Marine Science Center's annual Marine Science Day. Our faculty, students, and postdocs also regularly present in both the HMSC Seminar Series and Science on Tap in order to educate the community about marine issues.
